Hospice Care for all, for now, forever

26th Nov — 28th Nov 24

The theme of our National Conference this year is guided by our new five-year strategy which will be published in May.

Following on from Hospice UK’s extensive consultation with the palliative and end of life care sector, three key themes emerged on the challenges facing our members and the sector.  Our conference programme will explore these three priorities:

  • Improving equity of access
  • Enhancing quality care
  • Achieving sustainability.

We want those attending to leave feeling well placed to help meet the challenging context faced by the UK in the coming years.

Topics will include

  • the challenges of treating an ageing population
  • reaching those we know are missing out on quality end of life care
  • understanding the potential implications around legislation on assisted dying
  • ensuring a sustainable funding stream
  • gathering and using high quality data.
