Deputy Clinical Lead — Infant Mortality
Dr Hsu Chong is a leading specialist in maternal and fetal medicine within the West Midlands. Her clinical work is dedicated to complex areas of maternity by providing specialist pre-pregnancy counselling, managing maternal medical conditions, and diagnosing fetal anomalies.
Beyond the clinic, she is championing safer maternity care through her research with the West Midlands Patient Safety Research Collaborative at the University of Birmingham. In her role as obstetric perinatal mortality lead she has led the team to reduce stillbirth rates at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, by taking a systems level approach.
She undertakes outreach events at secondary school, has mentored and supervised postgraduate students and previously served as RCOG college tutor
